Elegant white freshwater pearls hang from hand textured gold filled discs reminiscent of a cratered moon.

Pearls have long been associated with the moon, the glowing white orbs eliciting a natural comparison.  These connections are strengthened by the moon's influence on our waters, where pearls are born.  In ancient Indian texts, pearls are considered the daughter of the moon and in Western cultures, the pearl has been associated with the planet Venus, whose namesake, the goddess of love, came from the sea.

•Drops measure ~1" in length.  Discs measure 1/2" in diameter.  Pearls measure ~6mm in diameter.

*Gold filled wire & sheet are real 14 karat gold heat & pressure bonded over a central core of brass.  It contains a higher percentage of gold than gold plated or vermeil items and is much more durable.*
